This delightful little series of images come courtesy of David Schwen’s Instagram page. The pantone swatches pair up foods that work together perfectly, much like colour swatches pair up complementary colours. Links to both David’s website and Instagram are below and you can find the rest of the series there, he’s also announced that prints will be available to purchase soon.

F**k Yeah Science of the Day: Say goodbye to the “hot pizza burn” — researchers at the University of New Mexico (a city known for chemistry) have created a dissolving oral strip that gives immediate relief and healing to a scalded mouth.
Coffee, tea, pizza, or Hot Pocket, let no temperature stand in your way ever again. These need to come out ASAP.
I second the “ASAP” comment.
Pancake Plates
“In his quest to create the perfect plate for devouring pancakes, designer Jon Wye broke down the elements of what makes a pillowy stack so comforting. After a lifelong love affair with breakfast, Wye pin-pointed the crux of satisfaction: syrup. Designed with a raised edge that gently slopes the plate toward the diner and an ingenious reservoir for pooling loose syrup, this plate was made for slicing, dipping and delighting in each bite of pancake goodness. But the best part? This plate enhances any saucy dish down to the last drop.”the design is so simple yet so useful for dining.

Once again, another creative, beautifully designed idea. Almost too pretty to use.
Sliced Bread Notebook
Burak Kaynak collaborated with Cem Has to execute this interesting idea.
Taking notes can be super delicious, by using the Sliced Bread//Notebook. The first step requires a delicious notebook to hold everything together. It is a 12 slices/notebook set which has been packaged for convenience. Each delicious slice has number on it. (1 to 12) You can use each notebook for the related month.

I would totally buy these for this simple design feature. And then, every bottle would line the top of my kitchen cabinets.
Um, where can I get some of these?
Hm. I might need to bake myself a blueberry pie tomorrow because it was recently my birthday and it’s tradition. If you’re around, you’re more than welcome to a slice!
Clever.
These are well thought out print ads for Calgary Farmers’ Market by WAX. Some were done for the summertime, others for winter and special holidays. You can view more posters at Ads of the World.
